Five Must-have Trade Show Event Printing Materials

The right marketing materials are key to a successful trade show event

The right marketing materials are key to a successful trade show event

Organising a stand at a trade show or exhibition takes a lot of careful planning. Printing informational and promotional materials to share with people at the event can significantly help boost brand awareness. We’re outlining some of the must-have printed materials to help you create an eye-catching and memorable experience for visitors (and hopefully turn them into customers).

Informational materials

Printed flags
Printed flags are an eye-catching way to attract visitors to your stand. For maximum visibility, we recommend using a company that offers a dye-sublimation process, as this ensures the print is visible on both sides of the flag.

Depending on where you want to place them, you can purchase table-top or larger crest flags. When purchasing street flags for outdoor settings, remember to order the essential accessories, including the parasol base or metal ground spike if installing on grassy areas.

Leaflets
Want to keep everyone in the loop on why your products or services are a cut above the rest? A great way to do this is by offering a folded leaflet or small brochure with details of who you are, what you offer, and how people can contact you or make a purchase. Business cards are also a great way to get your name out there.

Promotional materials
A trade show wouldn’t be complete without free goodies for people to take away. If you’re setting up a stand to raise brand awareness and show-off your services or wares, there are a number of affordable items you can easily add brand logos to and hand out to attendees. They can foster a positive brand experience and are also a great way to reward new or loyal customers.

Goodie bags
You may want to give away multiple items, in which case ordering bags to house all the goodies could be worthwhile. A cotton tote bag is a popular choice and offers plenty of room for pens, journals, keyrings, water bottles, and more. They also double-up as a versatile bag for life; the more people seen using merchandise with your logo, the better for your brand awareness.

Wristbands
You can also provide wristbands, which are a fun freebie for attendees to wear and keep. Options include silicone and fabric toggle designs, both of which enable you to print your logo and the name of the event. If choosing environmentally-friendly printed resources is important to you, you might be surprised to know that silicone is recyclable at certain centres.

Lanyards
Branded lanyards are a popular item to giveaway at a trade show and are affordable to buy in bulk. You can buy single or double-sided cardholders or magnetic name badge holders that secure ID cards to pockets or belts. No need for clips or pins—the magnetic force keeps the name badge firmly in place. It offers a professional look for a corporate event.
